About this Project

During our evangelism training in Thailand, we met Victoria; a woman whose mission is to bring freedom and dignity to families trapped in bondage in the very country God delivered her from... Pakistan.

Born and raised in Pakistan, Victoria experienced firsthand the challenges faced by Christians in this region. From a young age, she carried a deep awareness that something was broken, not just in individual lives, but across entire communities living under pressure, fear, and limited opportunity.

As a teenager, Victoria had a powerful encounter with God that shaped the course of her life. She began to understand the deeper roots of generational poverty and marginalization in her community. She saw how persecution did not just affect faith; it affected access to everything. Christians lacked representation in government and had little access to doctors, lawyers, or counselors. Without support systems, entire communities were left to struggle on their own.

This realization gave Victoria a clear mission:

To stand in the gap for her people and be a voice where there was none.

Over the years, she became a passionate advocate on international platforms, speaking out against religious persecution and discriminatory laws targeting minority communities in Pakistan. At the same time, she carried a vision to expand education, believing that raising up a new generation with professional skills and opportunities could help break cycles of poverty.

Though Victoria experienced forward motion within the realm of international relations, she still felt like something was missing... When she was asked about her knowledge of the families trapped in the brick kilns, her answer was both simple and sobering, “My family was in survival mode too. And when you are just trying to survive, you don’t even know who else needs help.”

That reality would soon change everything.

Standing in the heat of a brick kiln in Kasur, surrounded by smoke, dust, and endless rows of hand-molded bricks, Victoria came face-to-face with a reality she had never seen before.

Across Pakistan, an estimated 4 to 5 million people work in brick kilns, many trapped in bonded slavery. But in that moment, it was no longer a number...

It was a mother sitting on the ground, gently holding her 8-day-old baby, a child already burdened by debt taken just to afford birth.

It was a young girl, barely a teenager, who had been forced into marriage at just 12 years old to a brick kiln manager, her childhood taken, her future decided for her.

It was families working from sunrise to sunset, shaping nearly 1,500 bricks a day for just $2 to $2.50, knowing that no matter how hard they worked, they could never break free. Their wages went toward endless debt, rent for the very land they were trapped on, and just enough food to survive.

There were no toilets. No clean water. No medical care. If it rained, they could not work, and if they could not work, they did not eat. Children grew up malnourished. Mothers worked through illness. Generations lived and died in the same cycle, never experiencing freedom.

In that moment, Victoria realized something she would never forget:

These families don’t just need opportunity someday; they need freedom now.

While the crisis is massive, meaningful impact starts by taking intentional steps. The question is not whether the problem is too big, but where God is calling us to begin:

Our Mission: From Bondage to Freedom:

"The Big Picture"

Through the Let my people go project, we are working to:

  • Relocate families to safe and stable housing

  • Provide immediate support during transition periods (food, rent, essentials)

  • Empower children through education or vocational training

  • Restore dignity through holistic care, health, and community support

Because freedom is not just about being released, it’s about being restored with dignity and hope.

Phase 1:

Restoring Dignity Through Hygiene & Care:

As relationships were built within these communities, an urgent and often invisible crisis came into focus - especially among women and young girls.

In many brick kiln settlements:

  • There is no clean water

  • Only 1-2 bathrooms

  • Menstrual hygiene education is almost nonexistent

  • Sanitary products are inaccessible or unaffordable.

As a result, women are often forced to use unsafe/ reused cloths, leading to infection, shame, isolation, and long-term health risks. For young girls, this becomes a source of fear and silence during a natural part of life.

Before lasting transformation can take root, dignity must be restored now.
